Fresh made pottery bells, just drying on the rack. The body and handles of the bells is light coloured clay (to show up glazes when applied) and the berries and leaves are dark red clay. The darker clay seems to make the most of the oxides used as colourants for the leaves and berries. These bells will be bisque fired, glazed, then high fired. The clappers are made and fired separately and added to the bells after the final firing. They sell for $20 each.
